Shared maps — questions
Who can open a shared travel map?+
Anyone signed into WayCrumb with the link can open a shared map. It is not public to the open web — recipients need a WayCrumb account so pins, photos, and notes stay in a trusted context.
What do recipients see?+
They see a full-screen map with a marker for every pin and a side list of pin cards — title, photo, address, rating, price level, and any notes you added. They can tap a marker to open the detail card.
Can recipients edit my collection?+
No. Shared travel maps are view-only. Your collection stays yours — nothing recipients do changes the pins, order, or notes.
What if I add a new pin to the collection later?+
The share link always reflects the current state of the collection. Add a pin and it shows up on the shared map the next time someone opens the link.
Can I stop sharing a map?+
Yes. Make the collection private again from its settings and the shared link stops resolving. New pins added afterwards are never exposed.
