Accessibility statement

Last updated 17 September 2026

We want WayCrumb to be usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or voice control. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA.

What we do today

  • Semantic headings, landmarks and labelled navigation regions on every page.
  • Form fields with programmatically associated labels and inline error messages.
  • Keyboard operation with visible focus states, and dialogs that trap and restore focus.
  • Alternative text on images that carry meaning; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
  • Body text contrast of at least 4.5:1 against its background.
  • Respect for reduced-motion and system text-size preferences.

Known limitations

  • Interactive maps are visual by nature. Every place shown on a map is also available as a text list with its name and address, but map panning and marker clustering are not fully keyboard operable.
  • Drag-and-drop reordering of itinerary items has keyboard alternatives in most places but not yet everywhere.
  • Some third-party embedded content is outside our control.

Report a barrier

If something on WayCrumb blocks you, email accessibility@waycrumb.com. Tell us the page and what happened. We aim to reply within five business days and will offer an alternative way to complete the task while we fix the underlying issue.
